Lucy's Run Wines 2019 Thelma's Verdelho – $22 ($18 members) In 2019 Lucy's Run had some fun and named their two Verdelhos after their very fat mother and daughter bovines – Thelma and Louise! The styles are quite different: Thelma (mum cow) is elegant and discerning, while Louise (baby cow) is a little more playful, with a touch of sweetness.

TASTING Thelma has sophisticated flavours of citrus, preserved lemon peel and hints of white pepper, while Louise delights with notes of blood orange and pink grapefruit.

FOOD MATCH Thelma's a huge hit with seafood, around the bbq or just relaxing with a pizza, while Louise really complements spicy Thai or hot curry dishes.

CELLARING Thelma (and Louise) will happily cellar for another few years, but they are SO good right now, why wait!
