Riverlights Multicultural Festival
At The Levee, Central Maitland
SAT 13 OCTOBER
Riverlights Multicultural Festival celebrates cultural diversity through food, music, dance and interactive experiences.
The Levee will be transformed into a global village with over 20 different nations represented. Visitors can see, taste, feel and experience the different cultures, and enjoy live performances, language classes, lantern making, night markets, fashion parades and cooking demonstrations.
This event really shines at night, with the popular festival parade and magical lantern flotilla featured on the Hunter River, an unforgettable experience.
The community is invited to get involved and make their own paper lanterns to be part of the flotilla at the festival with free lantern making workshops running throughout the day. Entry to the festival is free.
