Your space, your say! Weston Bears Park Draft Masterplan on exhibition

Weston Bears Park Draft Masterplan is now on public exhibition and residents have the opportunity to have their say until 22 June 2020.

The Draft Masterplan sets out the future vision of the space, including the future development and character of the site.

Key highlights include:

• Replacement of the main turf football field with a synthetic surface

• Expansion of the existing training field to the east of the site to a full sized football field

• New amenities building to cater for junior and senior football

• Additional spectator seating New storage facility

• Floodlighting upgrades

• New sealed car park

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said it’s a great plan developed by Council after talking to the community.

“Thanks to the representatives from Weston Bears Football Club, Weston Junior Football Club and Weston Workers Club who provided feedback to assist in the development of the plan.”

“Our parks are some of our most precious community spaces and we need to ensure we’ve got a plan to continually improve and upgrade these facilities, particularly as our population grows and more people enjoy these spaces.”
