Small Mouth is a small family-run distillery that specialises in hand-crafted, quality spirits, including shimmering vodkas and gins. And you can taste them all at their new tasting room at Hunter Valley Gardens Shopping Village.

Small Mouth Vodka has been online for years, but since the tasting room in Pokolbin was opened early in 2019, the team has been working hard to expand the range available both for tasting and purchase.

“Since the tasting rooms opened, we have grown our range and now have a whole fleet of gins, vodkas and liqueurs to offer customers,” said co-Manager Jaydan Addis.

Small Mouth is made up of an enthusiastic team of family members, including Paul Addis, the co-owner and head distiller, who has been distilling for eight years. Melloney Addis, Kaitlyn Addis and co-Managers Jaydan Addis and Mia Thompson all work in-store conducting tastings and sales. Mia and Jaydan also work on the online side of the business as well.

“Small Mouth is a hand-crafted, premium spirit that is organic and vegan friendly. Our produce is distilled in traditional copper pot stills and uses freshly captured rainwater. We add edible glitter to our products so you can shimmer on the inside just like you do on the outside!” says Jaydan.

Since the tasting room opened, the team has been surprised by the range of customers that walk through the doors – everyone from fresh-faced 18 year-olds to 92-year-old connoisseurs!

“For us, this is evidence that we are on the right track. We aim to create a premium and innovative product that can be used to make even simple cocktails unique and delicious. We’re dedicated to providing a product that excites all ages,” said Jaydan.

Small Mouth offers gins, vodkas, and liqueur’s, ranging from 45%, 40%, and 20%. All products have a shimmering glitter in them that are food-grade safe so that when you add any mixer with bubbles, the glitter will continuously move in your drink. Top sellers include the Shimmering Chocolate Hazelnut Vodka and Espresso Liqueur, perfect for cold Winter nights. Both drinks are delicious ‘on the rocks’ or with your favourite mixer.
