Feeling lost with supplements? We've got you covered. If you've ever walked into the gym, looked at the supplement shelves, and thought, "Where do I even start?” you're not alone. For many members juggling work, family, and fitness goals, nutrition can feel like just another overwhelming task.

To help simplify things, we sat down with Robert from East Coast Supplements, located next door to us here at Huntlee Fitness, to get his take on how to approach supplements when you're new to the world of supplements.

"Good nutrition is all about balance— protein, carbs, fats, vitamins, and minerals," Rob says. "But realistically, busy lives mean we don't always get what we need from food alone. That's where supplements come in."

He recommends starting simple.

"A greens powder can help cover your bases with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Whey protein is another great beginner option—perfect for smoothies or quick post-workout fuel."

Feeling run-down or struggling with sleep? There are options for that too:

"A gentle fat burner or calming sleep support product can help if you're managing weight or recovery. But it's all about what works for your body and lifestyle. Supplements should support you, not complicate things."

Rob's advice? Don't dive headfirst into everything. Start with what's relevant to your goals, listen to your body, and build from there.

And the best part? Support is right on your doorstep. At Huntlee Fitness, we're more than just a gym - we're a community. And having a trusted supplement store just next door means you don't have to figure it out alone. The East Coast Supplements team is here to guide you through it all with personalised advice and grounded guidance.

New to supplements? Start slowly, ask questions, and visit Rob and Andrea out front. They've been supporting the Hunter Valley community for over 10 years—and now they're here for you too. For more information, visit eastcoastsupplements.com.au or huntleefitness.com.au.
