Wollombi Music Festival 2019

Wollombi Music Festival will celebrate its 10th birthday over the September 27-29 weekend and once again this much-loved boutique festival in the Hunter Valley hinterland has produced an incredibly diverse lineup full of good vibes and raw energy and sell-out crowds. With 2019 being potentially the last Wollombi Music Festival in Wollombi, (a move to another region in 2020 is on the cards), festival organisers have vowed to put on their biggest festival ever and with a lineup featuring legend Nicky Bomba and Bustamento, up and coming talents Gold Member plus established blues artists such as Shaun Kirk they’ve certainly got the music side of the festival spot on.

The festival is a sweet mix of blues, roots, reggae and funk that will also see the return of the incredibly popular inclusions such as Mini Wollombi for the little humans, Campfire Jam, Silent Disco till late and a whole host of other festival accoutrements.

Wollombi’s commitment to diversity and inclusion will see the inclusion of the Auslan (Australian Sign Language) side of the stage for those who are deaf or hard of hearing as well as embracing diversity across their artist program.

“We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive space where everyone feels safe, supported and can have a great time,” said festival organiser, Adrian Buckley.

This focus on inclusion has extended to ensuring that visitors who missed out on tickets to the 2019 celebration will have second chance to get a taste of the festival when it treks up the Hunter Expressway to Newcastle’s iconic ‘Station’ venue on Saturday, October 26.

“With Wollombi Music Festival now officially sold out, we’ve decided that if we can’t bring the people to Wollombi, we’ll just have to bring Wollombi to the people of Newcastle and surrounds,” said Adrian.

“Wollombi at The Station will be a condensed version of all the great elements of the Wollombi Music Festival, including ten great Australian blues and roots acts with boutique markets stalls, quality food trucks, bar, roving performers and a line-up stacked with opportunities to dance the night away.”
