Sculpture in the Vineyards


Now in it’s 18th year, the Sculpture in the Vineyards is back throughout Wollombi, showing over 160 sculptures over 16 days, from October 17 - November 1.

This year, 166 works from 103 sculptors have been selected for the exhibition from the 300 national and international submissions received. The selection includes 7 previous Sculpture by the Sea major prize winners, plus other highly respected artists and emerging artists.

The Festival Opening is on Saturday 17 October from 5pm at Grays Inn, with Simon Marnie (ABC) as MC, Tim Selwyn conducting the Smoking Ceremony and local band The Runaway Cabbages to entertain. It is reccomended to book a table at one of the local restaurants/taverns for dinner afterwards.

Sculptures will be on display (free entry) at indoor spaces – The Old Fireshed Gallery; Blender Gallery; The Old Wollombi Dance Hall; Wollombi and Laguna Community Halls.

Outdoor exhibitions include – GNTP Laguna; Stonehurst Cedar Creek; Undercliff Winery; Grays Inn; Wollombi Tavern; Wollombi Village.

Wollombi Village Walk and Talk Guided Tours will take place at 10am on each day of the Festival, running for 2 hours at $10 pp, and the Sculpture Twilight Dinner will this year be held in the garden of Grays Inn on 31 October.
