Family owned and operated country lodge or inn with 35 rooms and cottages, nestled within our own 45 year old shiraz vineyards on 70 secluded acres in the very heart of the famous Hunter Valley Wine Country.
We offer comfortable accommodation for families, groups or individuals. There are 4 styles of accommodation – our Hunter Rooms and Vineyard Rooms are close to the centre of the action near the pool, tennis, reception and other facilities.
We also have Spa Cottage Rooms designed for that romantic weekend or midweek break – equipped with a 2-person spa, separate shower, kitchenette and are very private. There is also a spacious 2 Bedroom Cottage which is ideal for family groups and able to accommodate up to 6 people.
We offer some great value packages to choose from including; Family, Indulgence, Escape and Pamper Packages.
The Matilda Bay Brewhouse dining is perfect for groups, families and couples alike. A very relaxed and casual setting, with the option of inside in air conditioned comfort or alfresco dining in the courtyard.
Whether you’re planning an your perfect wedding or an intimate celebration for friends and family, you’ll receive all the attention to detail needed to ensure all you have to worry about is enjoying yourself. We’ll help you with everything you need including menu design, table settings, photographers, florists, hair dressers, cars, music, accommodation and those special personal touches you and your partner desire.
Our team has years of experience, and will ensure your wedding is perfect and a day to remember forever. There are two venues for your wedding, The Hermitage and The Winemakers Room. Entry to The Hermitage is via a beautiful wooden bridge over a dam with running water… perfect for the Wedding Ceremony, or photographs.
The main Hermitage function area seats up to 200 guests with dance floor. There is a huge open fireplace, terracotta floors, large bar area, and the facility is fully air-conditioned and heated. The Winemakers Room can seat up to 60 guests. Or 40 guests with a dance floor. This venue is also air-conditioned and heated.
Looking for a place in the Hunter Valley Wine Country to park your motor-home safely? We also have 4 parking bays with 15 amp power, and include the use of shower, laundry and toilet facilities. An on-line booking service is also available.
