Have Your Say About Our Local Economy

Cessnock City Council wants to hear from local businesses, residents and visitors to assist them in preparing the next draft Economic Development Strategy.

Council’s Economic Development and Tourism Manager, Tony Chadwick said the feedback from businesses and the broader community would ensure Council has the most up to date information.

“The feedback we’re asking for will ensure we have a clearer picture based on the current economic climate. This will help us build on the information collected during the Business Capability Study we did last year.”

“We’re looking forward to putting together a practical Strategy with clear priorities that will have real outcomes for our community as we grow.”

The Strategy will be based on the key themes of productivity, investment and innovation.

If a business, resident or visitor would like to have a say, surveys can be accessed via Council’s Have Your Say web page at www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/council/have-your-say/economic-development-strategy. There’s also a fantastic ideas wall for those wanting to share their vision (visit www.cessnockcitycouncil.mysocialpinpoint.com.au/economic-development-strategy).

All feedback must be submitted by Friday 9 October.
