Free Art January Begins At Maitland Regional Art Gallery
Today marks the beginning of Maitland Regional Art Gallery’s Free Art January, featuring a range of hands on and free activities for audiences of all ages to enjoy this school holidays.
Audiences can experience a Roving Art Tutor Tuesdays to Fridays, 10.00am to 1.00pm, or join multiple workshops across the month, including habitat building, creativity adaptation, and Free Art Sunday for families, expressive drawing and animation for teens, and Sip & Sketch with local artists Rosie Turner and Lucas Grogan for adults.
On Wednesday 20 January, 1.00pm to 2.00pm, audiences can join renowned Australian artist Andrew Sullivan as he discusses work on display in current exhibition, ‘Survey into the Cretaceous’.
Free Art Sunday continues weekly from 10.30am to 12.30pm, where people of all ages can let their creativity run wild with all materials provided thanks to the support of Cleverpatch and the Maitland Regional Art Gallery Members.
Please note the Gallery is closed every Monday, and Australia Day, Tuesday 26 January.
