Greek Culture, Music and Arts Festival in the Heart of the Hunter

Hope Estate has partnered with the creators of the hugely popular Darling Harbour Greek Festival of Sydney to bring a brand-new Mediterranean experience to the Hunter Valley. On Saturday 22 May, experience Greek Fest in the Hunter – a truly authentic celebration of Greek culture, music, food, and drink presented by Delphi Bank.

An incredible full-day line-up of entertainment is planned from 11am–6pm, including national dancing troupes, Greek bands, plus, direct from Greece, the amazing Dimitris Basis, who looks set to be the highlight of the day.

Enjoy an Ouzo tasting included with every adult General Admission ticket as well as mouth-watering international cuisine, all set to the backdrop of stunning vineyards.

Sweet, honeyed loukoumades, mouth-watering souvlaki, creamy feta, sublime olives, juicy Yeeros, savoury spanakopita, and rich Greek coffee will take you on a delicious Mediterranean food journey!

A fantastic selection of your favourite food vendors from the Greek Festival of Sydney, including event sponsors Defi II and Big Fat Greek will offer a wide range of lunch plates to enjoy.

If you’re looking for something a bit extra, perhaps treat yourself to one of Hope Estate’s lunch experiences with the VIP Greek Fest Lunch or Picnic Hamper for Two. With demonstrations, a kids zone, boutique markets and a range of Hope Brewery Beers and Hope Distillery Spirits to try, it’s going to be a great day out for all ages!

Pamela Proestos, the Director of the Greek Festival of Sydney and representative for the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW said, “We’re so excited to give the people of the Hunter a taste of what Sydneysiders have been enjoying for decades. Being able to offer an event that is so distinctly Greek allows us to promote our food, music and culture to a much wider audience and form a connection between the Sydney and Newcastle communities. We can’t wait to celebrate with wine and Ouzo (in moderation!) and see Greek dancing, local musicians and international artist Dimitris Basis on the Hope Estate stage.”

Visit www.hopeestate.com.au/greekfesthunter for tickets priced at adults from $29*, Children (12–17yrs) from $15* (*plus booking fee). Children under 12 years are free, but a ticket is still required.

The Hope Estate team will be working with local officials for COVID Safety planning. Patrons can expect to be notified of the procedures they’ll need to follow when at the festival, closer to the event dates.
