The Hunter Valley's Christmas Lights Spectacular is underway and runs until 26 January, transforming Hunter Valley Gardens into a festive wonderland with over 4.5 million lights across eight acres.
New attractions this year include the HO HO Harvest area, The Evergreen Tavern, and interactive Nutcracker Storytime. Select evenings feature roaming performers like stilt walkers, unicycling jugglers, and aerial acts, plus live music from the Felix Quinn Band. Visitors can enjoy thrilling rides including a Ferris Wheel, Superslide, and Spinning Teacups, meet Santa (until 24 December), and savour festive food from samosas to artisanal fairy floss. New Year's Eve features a spectacular 9pm fireworks display. Located near Pokolbin, the event opens nightly 5:30pm-10:30pm (rides from 6pm). Tickets start at $31 for children and $41 for adults, with family packages available. Nearby accommodation packages extend the magical experience.
