Land Registration for Lochinvar Ridge

In perfect timing for the Spring selling season, the first stages of the thriving new masterplanned community Lochinvar Ridge are now registered, located in Lochinvar at the heart of the Hunter Valley.

Comprising over 650 land lots with an average size of 800m2, Lochinvar Ridge’s sales enquires are trending upwards with the rare opportunity to buy registered large blocks with sweeping valley views. Hannah McInerney, Project Sales Manager comments, “House hunters are recognising there are limited prospects in the Hunter Valley to secure generous land lots over 800m2. More than 50 blocks have already been sold. The 800m2 blocks are very popular with local purchasers as they feel it’s the right sweet spot for size. More recently, buyers from Sydney, the Central Coast and Newcastle are making the move to Maitland/Hunter Valley as they have witnessed great value too.” “Many buyers can still work from home or access the freeway for an easy commute back to the Central Coast or Newcastle and all of the required amenities such as hospitals, schools, shopping centres and public transport. House hunters are looking to escape the compressed and overpopulated nature of Sydney. Space, privacy and a simpler way of life, but with access to a CBD within an hour are purchaser drivers. Lochinvar fulfills these desires,” she added. “Lochinvar Ridge’s wide frontages, big backyards, Hunter Valley lifestyle and country hospitality, sweeping valley views, level lots, minimal site costs and connectivity to expressways have helped secure land sales.” The demographic profile in Lochinvar Ridge is diverse and includes young families with a couple of children, older clients looking to downsize to a single storey home but still have space for a caravan and middle-aged families seeking a teenage retreat or extra space for visitors. The Reserve Bank of Australia’s call to keep the last two interest rates on hold has helped stimulate the Hunter Valley property market with some economists discussing the possibility of interest rate reductions in 2024. The issue of housing affordability in Sydney and with prices on the rise again is driving buyers to regional areas such as the Hunter Valley and Newcastle, forecast to see strong price growth within the next 12 months. The ability to secure a home and land package under $900,000 in the Hunter Valley represents great value for money compared to Sydney, where according to the latest CoreLogic Home Value Index released in August 2023, the median price for a house in Sydney now sits at $1.33 million. Lochinvar Ridge is close to the New England and Hunter Expressways and just around the corner from Lochinvar Town Centre. The estate is within approx. five minutes to Lochinvar Public School, St Jospeh’s College, St Patrick’s College, while Lochinvar Train Station is a short 5-minute drive. Rutherford industrial precinct is within an eight-minute drive, while Greenhills Shopping Centre and Maitland Private and Public Hospital can be reached within 15 minutes and the beautiful beaches of Newcastle within 50 minutes.
