There are plenty of reasons to linger in the Hunter Valley, but Sabor in the Hunter Dessert Bar gives you one of the sweetest. Set on Lambloch Estate, a 10-hectare working vineyard on Broke Road in Pokolbin, this one-of-a-kind dessert bar has been delighting visitors with handcrafted sweets and warm Hunter hospitality since its early days in Lovedale.

Now under new ownership, Sabor is entering an exciting chapter. New owners, Bunty and Ram, were drawn to the business by its extraordinary reputation and the experience it offers visitors — from the sweeping vineyard views to the warmth of its hospitality.

“Sabor has created something truly special over the past seven years,” they say. “We feel honoured to continue a place that so many locals and tourists already love, while bringing fresh ideas and our own passion for hospitality.”

The menu already boasts over 60 individually crafted desserts, including the multi-award-winning Portuguese chocolate mousse, decadent cakes, pastries, handmade chocolates, eight varieties of Belgian waffles, and gourmet ice cream, and the new owners are expanding the selection further. New additions include indulgent cheesecakes, cheese plates, dipping plates for kids and adults, and creative seasonal specials. Nothing is served by the slice; every dessert is made to order, giving the whole experience a real sense of occasion. Gluten-free options are available throughout, and the drinks list spans barista-made Glinelli coffee, local wines, ports, ciders, and an ever-growing range of shakes and iced beverages.

The setting is as appealing as the menu. Sabor shares its beautifully designed building with the Lambloch cellar door, so guests can pair their desserts with premium Hunter Valley wines while taking in sweeping views of the vineyard and the Brokenback Mountain Range. Large sliding doors open to the breeze, making the fully air-conditioned space feel relaxed and welcoming in any season.

For Bunty and Ram, being part of the Hunter Valley community is one of the great joys of running Sabor. “The Hunter Valley is such a special destination where people come to relax, celebrate, and create memories,” says Bunty.

“We feel privileged that Sabor can be part of those moments. Being surrounded by passionate local wineries and producers, inspires us every day to keep delivering something memorable for every guest who walks through the door.”

Open seven days a week, Sabor is the perfect place to finish — or honestly, start — your Hunter Valley day on a very sweet note. For more information, visit www.sabordessertbar.com.au.
