This is the time of year that is the MOST exciting across the Hunter Valley…
The fruit at Winmark Wines is NEARLY ready to be harvested for Vintage! A harvester is used for the majority of the vineyard, and the premium fruit from Block 4 is hand-picked.
Block 4 was planted in 1972 and is our most precious of vines. Turning 50 this year, we will be celebrating this incredible milestone in many ways! But first, we pick!
Every year a small group of volunteers participates in picking and experiences an integral part of the winemaking process. Picking will occur in the cool of the early morning. Date: Anticipated to be end of Jan/early Feb Start: Weather dependent, between 5.45-6am for briefing Finish: When the block is picked, usually around 11am Breakfast: A BBQ breakfast for the team is provided in the vineyards So please register your interest in helping hand pick this very special Block 4, and be part of Winmark History by emailing the team today at info@winmarkwines.com.au
