Christmas at the Common Returns to Morpeth

Christmas at the Common returns to Morpeth for an evening of festive fun on Friday 18 December 2020.

Tickets are $5.00 per person and included in the price is popcorn, a sausage sizzle and music entertainment from 6.00pm, with two Christmas classic movies, Elf and The Santa Clause, getting started at 8.00pm.

Santa will make an appearance on the night, and there will also be bright lights and decorations around the Common.

Bring your picnic rug, chairs and snacks, then choose from two dedicated movie screening areas to get you into the holiday spirit.

Council’s Senior Place Activation Officer Portia Wendt says, ‘we’re so excited to be bringing back Christmas at the Common again this year as an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate the festive season.

‘The night will be the first of a range of outdoor cinemas around Maitland across summer that will also see the return of the Dive in Cinema at East Maitland Aquatic Centre’.

Tickets for Christmas at the Common will be available online from midday Friday 4 December.

A comprehensive COVID-19 Safety Plan will be in place for this event.

Council will continue to monitor and adhere to the advice from the Federal and State Governments, including any variation or modification of the public health orders.
