If you've ever wanted to see Rod Stewart live, this is as close as it gets. The UK Rod Stewart Show is coming to Cessnock's PACC for one night only on Friday, 12 June 2026, and it's fronted by someone who genuinely has to be heard to be believed.
Shaun J. Marshall, born and bred in Plymouth, Devon, is one of the UK's most exciting vocal talents. Having performed around the world for years, he has that raspy, soulful quality down to a fine art, capturing the unmistakable stage presence of Rod Stewart himself. Shaun has also paid tribute to rock icons Paul Rodgers and Sting, but it's his take on Rod that has audiences doing double-takes.
And there's plenty of material to work with. Rod Stewart's breakthrough came in 1971 with Every Picture Tells a Story, an album that topped charts worldwide and introduced Maggie May to a generation of listeners who've never forgotten it. His repertoire spans rock, pop and standards, and his live format suits him because his songs depend on hooks, phrasing and emotional directness that still connect with a crowd. Shaun brings more than four decades of that iconic career to life, covering the hits everyone knows and loves: Maggie May, Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?, Hot Legs, The First Cut Is the Deepest, Sailing, Some Guys Have All the Luck, and plenty more.
Backing Shaun is a full live band made up of some of Australia's top session musicians, hand-picked by Shaun himself. It's a proper, high-energy production.
PACC is a great venue for a night like this. Intimate enough to feel like you're really there, with good sightlines and an easy walk to dinner beforehand if you want to make a full evening of it.
