Sabor's Sparkling Summer Sweeteners


Situated in the heart of Wine Country, Sabor Dessert Bar serves as the Hunter’s Sweet Spot, pairing delicious desserts with local wines from across the region to create a fantastic experience in a relaxing atmosphere.

 

With more than 50 complex and intricate desserts on offer, including their multi-award-winning Portuguese Chocolate Mousse, decadent cakes, and pastries (including loads of gluten-free and vegan options), hand-made chocolates and gourmet ice cream – your mouth will be watering as soon as you walk through the door and see their impressive display. The desserts are paired perfectly with locally sourced wines, providing the complete Hunter Valley experience.


Of course, you can eat any of their delicious desserts at any time of the year, but at this time of year when we’re reaching for the celebratory (and refreshing) Sparkling Wine, we wondered which dessert to pair it with – a dessert that screams summer on a plate. So, pop the cork and check out these summer sweeteners for yourself!


• Crispy Green Apple Royale - The top half is a green apple mousse with a toffee centre and lemon chiffon sponge disc covered with Sabor's shiny green apple glaze, set on top of a chocolate tart shell layered with marshmallow rice puffs, green apple mousseline and blueberry crumble.


• Three Fruit Gelato - A scoop each of lemon sorbet, strawberry sorbet and mango sorbet, served with fruit coulis and topped with a strawberry and strawberry cream poco loco (wafer stick).


• Sabor's Pavlova (GF) - Starts with a meringue pavlova base, gluten-free crumb, topped with mango mousse, cream, passionfruit coulis and fresh fruits to finish.


• Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta (GF + EF) - Creamy vanilla flavoured Italian dessert with real vanilla bean, a fresh strawberry, mixed berry compote and sweet pistachio crumb.


• Pina Colada Crunch (GF) - A light white chocolate mousse dome with a mango passionfruit jelly on a thin layer of crunchy meringue base, all sitting on top of a choc coated rice puff base rolled in desiccated coconut and surrounded by soft white chocolate flakes.
