Three musicians walked into a roastery …. and created something special! Mike Raper, Ben Greenslade-Stanton and Marty Farrugia launched Sidecar Coffee Roasters in 2021, bringing twenty years of friendship and creative expertise from Sydney's music scene to the Hunter Valley's coffee culture.
What started in a cramped Sydney setup has evolved into Branxton's vibrant Roastery Cafe, where precision roasting meets artistic expression. The trio's background in music informs everything they do: understanding rhythm translates into mastering roast profiles, while their performance experience shapes the welcoming cafe atmosphere.
Sidecar sources exceptional beans globally and roasts them on-site with curiosity and confidence. Whether you're after bold single origins or approachable blends, their range delivers flavour without pretension. The space itself reflects their creative roots: curated playlists fill the air, rotating art exhibitions adorn the walls, and locally sourced food complements every cup.
More than a cafe, Sidecar represents coffee, culture and community converging. It's where caffeination meets inspiration at the beating heart of Branxton.
