Goldfish Bar & Restaurant at Roche Estate is one of the trendiest Bars in Wine Country, so we took a trip there to find out a little about what makes Goldfish so cool – is it the ambience, the food, the team or the cocktails? Actually, it’s all of the above!

Goldfish exudes atmosphere, and whether you choose indoor dining or outside in the sunshine amidst the vines of Roche Estate, you’ll soon realise that Goldfish is perhaps ‘the’ place to celebrate in Wine Country. Whether it be a birthday, anniversary, hens or bucks – it seems that Goldfish is the place to be (note to self – Christmas party coming up soon!) Above and beyond special occasions, Goldfish is also a great last stop after a day at the wineries – when you’re craving a cocktail to top off a day of wine-tasting, and their award-winning bartenders have just the answer for waking up weary taste-buds. All bar staff create their own signature cocktails and can also make any of your traditional favourites.

Check out one of two new Goldfish Cocktail Bowls – the perfect summer drink to share with friends! The White Sangria bowl is the Goldfish twist on Sangria with Tequila, Cointreau, white wine, mango, lime, lemon, orange, mint agave and soda. Or perhaps the Tipsy Goldfish Bowl is more your style? It’s created using Prosecco, vodka, apricot brandy, seasonal fruit, O.J, pineapple juice, cloudy apple juice, ginger ale and lemonade. Both cocktails are served in a massive fishbowl to share!

The food menu is equally tasty and is designed for sharing with food arriving at the table progressively, enabling diners to enjoy multiple dishes without waiting between courses. With a new Summer menu launching in December that includes tasty morsels like beef tenderloin, Moroccan chicken, duck salad, char siu pork pancakes, and the popular seafood board now being served as a seafood ‘tower’, there’s sure to be something to satisfy the most discerning foodie amongst us.

Goldfish Gigs is set to kick off the first weekend in December, bringing you a line up of summer entertainment in the Hunter Valley. Goldfish is proud to be supporting local, talented artists and bringing regular live music back to Wine Country after a break due to covid restrictions. Live music every weekend will set the scene for great share food and cocktails with friends over the festive season.
