Two-Hatted Toastie Pop-Up at Hungerford Hill

Have you made plans for Easter? If not, grab your family and friends and head to Hungerford Hill for a long weekend brimming with good wine, food and entertainment.

From Friday 2 April to Sunday 4 April, the talented team behind Muse, one of the Hunter Valley’s premier restaurants, are collaborating with the boutique estate on The Press and Pickle, a pressed sandwich pop-up at Hungerford Hill’s award-winning cellar door.

From 11am to 3pm each day, hungry visitors can enjoy an indulgent toastie courtesy of Muse chef Gordon Cooke. With a focus on quality local produce, the menu features Reuben, Cubanos and Haloumi (vegetarian) options. The classic ham and cheese or tomato and cheese toasties will be available for children. Tuck in with a glass of Hungerford's famous wine, and you'll be set for the afternoon.

Rosemary-salted chips will also be gracing the menu, as will a charcuterie board boasting cured pork, double brie, beetroot hummus, dill pickle and rye sourdough croute.

And if you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love the Hunter Valley Splice, which is packed with Udder Farm vanilla yoghurt, Hungerford Hill verjuice, lime granita, finger lime, and honey. Takeaway will also be available all weekend.

Throughout the Easter long weekend, guests are encouraged to bring a picnic rug and settle down on the winery’s grounds, enjoying the live music as the kids head off to the jumping castle. Hungerford Hill will be selling award-winning wine by the glass or bottle and offering a standard wine-tasting for $10.

Please note, bookings are required for tastings prior to the Easter weekend.
