SPRING FLING


Lambloch Estate 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Frizzante | $29 We wanted to create the perfect wine for enjoying on a warm sunny day. It had to be light, tropical, refreshing and different to other wines on the market. The Sauvignon Blanc Frizzante is all that and more. The ultimate wine for fun in the sun. TASTING Lively fruit flavours of passionfruit and fresh citrus coupled with refreshing bubbles, providing a crisp clean fruity finish.

FOOD MATCH Perfectly matched with seafood and salads, or some cheese and nibbles with friends. CELLARING Best enjoyed young and fresh.

 

Lucy's Run Wines 2019 2 Fat Cows Rosé | $22 From Lucy's Run own single vineyard Merlot grapes, this beaut rosé was named after our two lovely, but hefty, bovines – Thelma and Louise! Like our two 'girls', this wine is fat and juicy, full of red berry lusciousness and showing light hints of rose petal and honey – voluptuous! TASTING Beautifully Spring fresh, our Rosé is medium-bodied but delicate on the palate, with light strawberries and cream flavours also emerging.

FOOD MATCH Delicious on hot afternoons around the pool, and great with light pasta dishes, Pad Thai, fish and chips... go for it! CELLARING Will happily cellar for the next few years, but why wait...

 

Ivanhoe Wines 2018 Shiraz Pressings | $45 A Big and Gutsy style Hunter Valley red. The ripe fruit characters show pepper and spice with good tannins having been matured in quality French Oak, sealed with natural cork and hand waxed to ensure great cellaring. TASTING This big Hunter Red has a fabulous deep red colour, with ripe fruit, pepper and spice on the palate. The oak and tannin characters give the palate complexity and linger perfectly in the mouth. A rich and well balanced red wine.

FOOD MATCH Ideal to enjoy with Wagyu rump served with asparagus, spring onion and peppercorn sauce. CELLARING Enjoy now or will cellar well for 12–15 years.

 

Krinklewood Biodynamic Vineyard 2019 Wild White | $20 Our Wild White 2019 was created from certified biodynamic Verdelho, Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay fruit, this field blend offers a crisp, beautifully fragrant, refreshing white wine. TASTING It has an enticing aroma of rose petals, lychee and stone fruit. The palate presents notes of honeydew melon, pink grapefruit and exotic spices. The balanced ripe fruit coupled with the natural acidity makes it perfect to be enjoyed on its own or with your favourite meal.

Tamburlaine Organic Wines 2017 Reserve Orange Riesling, Biodynamic | $33 From our cool climate, biodynamic vineyard of Borenore, Orange at 860m altitude. 90 Points – Halliday Wine Companion 2019; Silver Medal and 90 Points – Australian Highland Wine Show 2017; Bronze Medal and 85 Points – NSW Show 2017; Bronze Medal – Orange Wine Show 2017. TASTING Orange blossom and white peach on the nose with a flinty, mineral palate. Refreshing acidity, refined and citrus driven.

FOOD MATCH Scallops, baby radishes and water crest with chilli and lime. CELLARING 8+ years.

 

Emma's Cottage Vineyard 2017 Sparkles | $35 Emma’s Cottage Vineyard is a small vineyard producing premium hand-picked estate grown boutique wines from our own carefully nurtured 30 year old vines. Enjoy a personal, friendly and informative tasting of the lovely wines made for us by renowned Hunter Valley winemakers. TASTING A lively combination of Chardonnay, Semillon and Pinot Noir. Crisp citrus and stone fruit notes with lovely delicate yeasty notes.

FOOD MATCH A very versatile wine, this sparkles can be served with anything! CELLARING Drink now, or cellar for up to 5 years.

 

Tintilla Estate 2017 Saphira Sangiovese | $35 First class, hand-picked fruit, aged in French oak barrels for over 12 months before bottling. Aromas of cherries, blackberries and a touch of liquorice, and sweet leather. TASTING The taste of this wine is firm yet elegant, reflecting the aroma with dark cherries, plums and savoury cranberries – with a touch of spice. Good structure and crisp acidity finish.

FOOD MATCH Great with classic Italian meals like pasta and pizza but will just as easily go with a steak and veggies. CELLARING Drink now until 2025.

 

Pokolbin Estate 2019 Belebula Nebbiolo Rosé | $25 Barolo and Barbaresco are the premier Nebbiolo spots in the world. But now there are other places that make great Nebbiolo wines. Nebbiolo is an incredibly fussy variety to grow, flowering early, ripening late, and can struggle to ripen fully. Pokolbin Estate’s Nebbiolo Rosé is grown at Belebula Estate on Old North Rd. TASTING A traditional dry European style Rosé. Kissed with wild strawberries and a twist of Campari on the palate. Finishing with savoury fresh acidity, lingering and dry.

FOOD MATCH Pork, a luncheon wine or fruit and cheese. CELLARING Good cellaring potential but with age the colour does become deeper and rustic.
