Kicking off next Saturday (01 June 2024) is the Wollombi Taste festival, a spectacular celebration of local cuisine and wine set against the historic charm of Wollombi. Spread over 10 days (including the June Long Weekend) the festival is part of the larger Hunter Valley Wine and Food festival, and offers opportunities for both day trips and an extended escape. Enjoy live music, culinary experiences, spectacular fireworks display and a big day of markets in our beloved tiny town
Saturday, 01 June 2024: Wollombi Progressive Dinner

Enjoy a taste of all things Wollombi as we waltz you through the village from Myrtle & Stone to Wollombi Kitchen to Wollombi Tavern. You'll start with an amazing cocktail up on the hill at Myrtle paired with decadent hors d'ouvres, stroll across the road to Wollombi Kitchen for a scrumptious main meal and roll down the hill for dessert and Jurds tasting at the Tav.
Myrtle & Stone: 5pm | Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres
Enjoy a cocktail of your choice accompanied by Myrtle hors d'oeuvres as you mingle on the deck. Served up for hors d'oeuvres will be beef tenderloin crostini with whipped goats cheese and pesto, mini caprese skewers, zucchini tempura and fetta stuffed dates
Wollombi Kitchen: 6:30pm | Dinner
Amuse Bouche to change the scene and change the taste buds followed by your choice of panfried barramundi, steak frites or eggplant ragu (V) with accompanying seasonal vegetables or salad
Wollombi Tavern: 8:30pm | Dessert and Jurds tasting
Dessert will be the amazing flavours of Cherry Highway Gelato Van & a Jurds tasting.

[06 Jun] Yin & Gin: A sunset yoga class followed by a local favourite- the Myrtle gin cocktail.
[06 Jun] Communal Supper Club: Enjoy 4 exquisite courses created by local Chef Nathan Cooper.
[07 Jun] Afternoon Bush Tea: Fresh myrtle scones, roasted coffee, sparkling wine and local treats.
[08 Jun] Yoga & Yumcha: dumplings and downward dog, does it get any better?
[08 Jun] Music in the Woods: live music, mulled wine & delicious fare at a cellar door
[08 Jun] Fireworks & Picnic by lantern light: Cracker night, picnic blankets and hampers. Need we say more?
[09 Jun] The Sunday Roast: Enjoy a traditional, cosy carvery of local meats and wines.
[09 Jun] Smoked Extravaganza: Finish off with a casual BBQ, cooked low and slow.
