The Hunter Valley Balloon Fiesta Returns!

Australia’s most experienced ballooning company, Balloon Aloft, will once again host a beautiful balloon fiesta over the Hunter Valley after a three-year hiatus for the popular event.

Around 25 hot air balloons will take to the skies in an incredible display of colour over the October Long Weekend from Friday, 29 September to Monday, 2 October, as part of the Hunter Valley Balloon Fiesta. Offering spectacular views over the vineyards, the event is a “must-do” activity for anyone visiting the Hunter Valley over the October long weekend.

Organiser Matthew Scaife of Balloon Aloft said the company was excited to be hosting the event once again after a three year break following the COVID pandemic, with lucky passengers on board the balloons having the chance to experience the beauty of the Hunter Valley from a different perspective.

“There really is nothing like the feeling of being on board one of over twenty balloons as they float over the valley together at dawn,” he said.

“It’s a breathtaking experience, and there’s certainly no shortage of photographic opportunities.”

Following their flight, passengers will head back to Peterson House in Pokolbin for a delicious gourmet breakfast and Champagne celebration.

“It’s a great opportunity to celebrate the morning’s flight with fellow passengers and pilots,” said Matthew.

Fiesta flight tickets are selling fast, so if you’re interested in taking part, you are encouraged to book as soon as possible and avoid disappointment. Tickets in previous years’ fiestas sold out in the weeks prior to the event.
